FAQ’s
How long can I expect my bathroom renovation to take?
You can expect your bathroom renovation to take from 3 to 5 weeks, depending on level of finish.
What should I include in my bathroom renovation and what should I leave out?
When doing a renovation such as a bathroom (wet area) it's advisable to include as many features as possible during the renovation as once it's complete there is no easy way to add further features such as heated towel rails, niches or under floor heating.
We always suggest for clients to add niches in the shower rather than a bought shelf, as shower niches are embedded in the waterproofing system. Shelves however are fitted at the end and need the membrane to be punctured to be installed.
If the budget allows, we suggest heated floors are included especially for those cold winter mornings as it takes the chill out of the tiles and in fact produces a beautiful radiant heat.
How can I prepare my home for a bathroom renovation?
To best prepare your home for your bathroom renovation, ensure that the bathroom has been emptied of all belongings. It is also useful to ensure that all the fixtures and fittings have been selected and ordered to ensure an efficient process.
Do I need a permit/council approval to renovate my bathroom?
In most cases there is no need for a building permit for a bathroom unless structural changes are to be made.
How can I ensure my bathroom is future-proof?
Ensuring your bathroom is future proof is going to help avoid having to make further changes to your bathroom down the track. We suggest installing walk in showers, under floor heating and in wall toilet cisterns. Floating vanities, storage, and large format tiles will also contribute to the longevity of your new bathroom.
What are some design trends I can consider for my bathroom renovation?
Tic tac tiles, floating vanities, LED lighting and shower niches are all current trends that will hold their ground for many years to come. These elements will create a sleek, luxurious bathroom that meets your every need.
What is the ROI on a bathroom renovation?
It's safe to say that whatever you spend on your bathroom you will get back, and more.
