This 1900’s Federation restoration in Fitzroy involved a complete reconstruction of the balcony and roof, including a complete replacement, alongside the meticulous restoration of the chimneys and intricate woodwork. Given the restrictions of site boundaries and access limitations, Alesi work within a very tight space navigating efficiently managing trades and the team to ensure every detail was crafted with care. The hardwood posts were hand-engineered to match the original beauty of the era with the bullnose roof carefully restored to honour its heritage.
Passion for Restoration
Heritage restorations is a passion of Director, Andrew Alesi as it allows the team to showcase their best their carpentry skills have to offer. This is evident through the meticulous attention to detail, now visible within the facade.
Structural Integrity
As with any heritage project, materials breakdown over time and require replacement and reinforcement. Through the restoration process Alesi, not only restored the heritage appeal but ensured the modern building safety standards.
Skilled Management
Working within such a tight space, it was imperative to ensure all trades were clear on their requirements and delivered on time, so each trade person had the space the needed to work effectively.
